103 students grab opportunity during virtual placement drive organized by Desh Bhagat University

Chandigarh (Dr. Abhinav Kalra) Amid lockdown 77 students were selected by various companies for employment and 26 students have been shortlisted for on job training during a three days virtual placement drive organized by Desh Bhagat University. The drive was organized in collaboration with the District Employment Bureau, Fatehgarh Sahib. Around 200 students of various streams (BA, BCA, B. Tech and MBA) participated in the drive. 

 The companies participating HDFC, Think Next,Paytm, Delsys, Compass Tech , Eureka Forbes VLE offered fine salary packages with incentives to the students. The placement process comprised four different rounds – Group Discussion, Quiz and Personal interview. The parents and students were very delighted to get the opportunity during this period when a number of people have lost their jobs.

Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, extended gratitude to the esteemed companies’ and congratulated the placement cell for organizing the event.

Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor,said, till now we have organized a total of 30 plus mega job fairs and DBUalumni are working across the world. Although we ensure that students remain industry ready by imparting them training of global standards, students are also encouraged to choose entrepreneurship as a career.

 Ms. Arvinder Kaur, Dist Employmentofficer, Fatehgarh Sahib, thanked the management of Desh Bhagat University for providing opportunity to the students amid lockdown
