5th National Ayurveda Day Observed
Chandigarh, (Gurpreet) : The Punjab Government today observed 5th National Ayurveda Day with a special focus on concerns related to the present Pandemic and how Ayurveda can help in immunity building in this context. A Webinar themed “Ayurveda for the COVID-19 Pandemic" was organized on the occasion of Ayurveda Day. It aims has been to be an occasion of virtual information dissemination about the various initiatives of the Ayurveda discipline to mitigate COVID-19 by involving through Directorates of Health Departments, NHM, PSACS. All Ayurvedic Institutions in the State of Punjab attended the webinar.
In the beginning, Dr.Poonam Vasishta Director Ayurveda welcomed the Secretary Health cum Commissioner AYUSH Mr. Kumar Rahul and all the dignitaries who attended the event through a virtual platform. Mr. Rahul said that various aspects of Ayurveda to overcome the COVID-19 proved successful and there is need to promote the Ayurvedic medicines.
The event followed the Dhanwantri Vandana Recite by Dr.Himanshu Sharma. Lectures were also given by Ayurvedic Medical Officers Dr.Chetan Mehta, Dr.Kritika Bhanot, Dr.Harinder Pal Singh, Dr.Rajan Kaushal, Dr.Himanshu Sharma on the role of Ayurveda for Covid-19 Pandemic. In the end, the vote of thanks was given by Director Ayurveda Punjab.
