911 KWp Solar Power Plant at Electrical Section Sub Station at CSIO

Chandigarh (Aditi) A 911 KWp Solar Power Plant at Electrical Section Sub Station at CSIO was inaugurated today at 1.00 pm by Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS, Adviser to Administrator, UT, Chandigarh. Sh. Debendra Dalai, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, UT, Chandigarh also graced this occasion with his presence. Prof. S. Anantha Ramakrishna, Director, CSIR-CSIO on this occasion said that “Being sure, pure and secure, Solar Energy is going to be a major medium of energy needs not only today but, in the times, to come. In consonance with the vision of our Hon’ble Prime minister, Narendra Modi, and furthering the commitment of CSIO towards clean and green energy, a Solar generation plant has been established at CSIO which besides meeting its own energy requirements will also feed surplus energy into the grid.”
