AAP govt. insulting martyrs in Punjab: Chugh

Chandigarh: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today lambasted the Bhagwant Mann government for playing cheap politics in the names of martyrs who laid down lives for the country.

Taking strong exception to the manner in which the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has been changing the language and characters of the plaques provided by the Central government to be installed at every government school or panchayat, Chugh said it was a shameful act of the Punjab government as it has been replacing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message with its own expressions.

Chugh said the entire financial burden was being borne by the Centre for the plaques to be installed in more than 72,000 blocks in the country, but the manner in which the Bhagwant Mann's government has been tampering with its language and message is reprehensible and an insult to the martyrs of the country.
