ABVP PU unit declared candidates for 2023 Student Council Elections

Chandigarh: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has declared the names of its candidates for the student council elections to be held in Panjab University on September 6.

Unit President Rajat Puri informed that this year student candidates are being fielded for two posts on behalf of ABVP. In which the name of Rakesh Deshwal for the post of President and Avinash Yadav for the post of General Secretary has been decided by the organization.


Rakesh Deshwal is basically a resident of Panipat Haryana. Rakesh completed his education till LLB from Panjab University. Presently he is pursuing LLM in UILS department of Panjab University. In the past, he has discharged the duties of Unit Vice President, Chandigarh, Executive Member, etc. in DAV College of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, at present he is discharging the responsibility of Hostel Convenor in the Executive Committee of ABVP in Panjab University. He will be the candidate on behalf of ABVP for the post of President in the student council elections of Panjab University Chandigarh for the year 2023.


Avinash Yadav is originally from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. He has completed his education from UIET department of Panjab University up to B.Tech. Presently he is pursuing M.Tech from UIET department only. In the past, he has discharged the responsibility of Unit Vice President of ABVP PU Unit. Presently he is discharging the responsibility of South Campus Incharge of PU in ABVP unit. He will be the candidate on behalf of ABVP for the post of General Secretary in the student council elections of Panjab University Chandigarh for the year 2023.

Both these workers have been declared candidates for the year 2023 student union elections on behalf of ABVP. ABVP appeals to the entire student community of Panjab University to support ABVP with huge votes and make it victorious in the coming student union elections for change in Panjab University, for the development of PU
