Action against units manufacturing food items without registration/license or in unhygienic conditio

Chandigarh (Aditi) The Food Safety Department UT ,Chandigarh is taking strict action against the violations of Food Safety & Standards Act ,2006 in UT , Chandigarh Recently the Adjudicating Officer-cum-district Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh has imposed penalty in many cases like:-
A unit at Village Maloya, Chandigarh was running and selling misbranded product for human consumption hence penalized u/S 52 of the Food Safety & Standards Act.,2006- Penalty 3,00,000/-
2. A Unit at Indl Area, Phase-I, Chandigarh was running under unhygienic and insanitary conditions. Hence penalized u/S 56 of the Food Safety & Standards Act.,2006 --Penalty
50,000/-
3. A Unit at Old Ropar Road, Manimajra ,Chandigarh was running under unhygienic and insanitary conditions, hence penalized u/S 56 of the Food Safety & Standards Act.,2006
Penalty 10,000/-
4. A unit at Palsora, Chandigarh was running under unhygienic and insanitary conditions. Hence penalized u/S 56 of the Food Safety & Standards Act.,2006-- Penalty 10,000/-
5. A Unit at Sector 23,Chandigarh was running without registration certificate ,hence penalized u/S 58 of the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 --Penalty 5,000/-
All the food business operations in UT Chandigarh are advised to ensure that the articles of food satisfy the requirements of the Food Safety and Standards Act,2006 and the rules and regulations made there under at all Stages of productions, processing, import distribution and sale within the businesses under his control.
