AFTER CM’S DIRECTION TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT ACCEPTS KEY DEMANDS OF EMPLOYEES

Chandigarh, (Gurpreet) On the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Transport department has accepted the major demands of the Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS/ PRTC Contract workers union of the state.

A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held here at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. Additional Principal Secretary to CM Himanshu Jain and Director State Transport Amandeep Kaur had detailed parleys with a delegation of union comprising State President Resham Singh, Shamsher Singh Dhillon, Harkesh Kumar, Jagtar Singh and Daljeet Singh.

It was decided in the meeting that on duty enquiry against suspended conductor Pritpal Singh will be done in a time bound manner and will be completed within three days. The union had been demanding a time bound enquiry into the matter which was accepted by the state government.
