Chandigarh, (Gurpreet) : AAP's state chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang and Prof Jagat Ram former Director of PGIMER inaugurated a new Alpha Chandigarh Hospital (ACH) at Gharuan on Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway near Kharar on Sunday.
Alpha Chandigarh Hospital is equipped with the latest technology with an experienced team of doctors under Dr. Sunandan Sood a prominent eye specialist and Dr. Pratima Duggal a renowned dental, laser and implant specialist of tricity . In the first inaugural year the OPD will be free on every Wednesday.
Speaking during the occasion, Dr. Sunandan Sood said,” The 15-beded Alpha Chandigarh Hospital will provide affordable, state-of- the- art medical care services to the rural and suburban area of Gharuan, Kharar, Morinda & Kurali region. It is furnished with advanced equipment in all specialities to offer emergency services at the doorstep of needy people of Punjab.
He further said, in phase one, the hospital will offer latest and advanced dental, eye, medical, ENT and gynae care services. Laproscopic surgeons and orthopaedic surgeons will be on the panel of the hospital. In phase two, an In vitro fertilization (IVF) , cath lab, open heart surgery, dialysis unit, neurology & neurosurgical unit will also be introduced, informed Dr. Sood.
Dr Sunandan Sood, a former HOD and Dean of GMCH sector 32 Chandigarh is a renowned vitreo-retinal Surgeon of the region. He has been decorated with national awards for his outstanding services in the field community Eye care services.
Dr Pratima Duggal Gold Medalist and product of KG Dental College, Lucknow is a high volume dental, laser and implant specialist with an experience of more than 35 years. Dr. Siddharth Duggal, a young eye surgeon has completed senior residency from GMCH Chandigarh. He has completed fellowship in Phaco Refractive surgery from Nethradhama Bangalore under the guidance of renowned surgeon Dr. Sri Ganesh.
