"Biospectacle Carnival" Concludes after Two Days

Chandigarh: The "Biospectacle: When Nature Takes the Spotlight" Carnival, an exceptional event was organized by Climate Change Cell, Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration in association with Swarmani Youth Welfare Association marked a triumphant conclusion today within the tranquil environs of Chandigarh Botanical Garden & Nature Park, Sarangpur, U.T. Chandigarh.
The Carnival also rsupported by the Central Bureau of Communication, Chandigarh, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. They presented a thematic exhibition showcasing the recent environmental initiatives by the Government of India and highlighting its achievements over the past nine years. Across the span of two days, the carnival featured a wide range of activities and competitions, along with captivating exhibitions organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Chandigarh. These activities included pottery crafting, innovative displays of repurposed products, interactive quizzes, and entertaining games.
On the course of two day of the Carnival witnessed a footfall of 2500 students from various schools in Chandigarh participated enthusiastically, underscoring the critical significance of instilling environmental awareness and preservation values among the younger generation.
It is worth noting that all the participants of the Biospectacle Carnival were honored by the department, recognizing their valuable contributions to the cause of environmental awareness and preservation.
The event was graced by the presence of Sh. T.C. Nautiyal, Director of the Department of Environment, who stressed the importance of collective efforts directed at safeguarding our environment. He emphasized that the event served as a medium to reconnect with nature, further elaborating on the mission behind the establishment of the Chandigarh Botanical Garden and Nature Park, which is to raise awareness among youth about the significance of nature.
The "Biospectacle Carnival" stands as a testament to the commitment to environmental preservation and education, uniting various stakeholders and underscoring the urgent need for collective action in addressing climate change and environmental challenges.
