BJP is attacking farmers by conspiring in a planned manner – Selja
Chandigarh, (Aditi) – President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that efforts are being made by the BJP to suppress the farmers, who are protesting peacefully, by intimidating and threatening them. The BJP is organizing a planned conspiracy to attack the farmers sitting on the borders of Delhi in the cold weather. In a democratic set up, everyone has the right to protest in a peaceful manner. The BJP should leave such petty antics and should not consider farmers as weak. The entire country stands with the farmers, she added.
In a statement issued here today, Kumari Selja said that the BJP government is adopting every tactic to strangle the farmers’ movement. The BJP government's tactics to malign the peasant movement have come to light. Reports have been received that people associated with the BJP were involved in the shameful act done on the Red Fort on the Republic Day. The farmers protesting in a peaceful manner are being intimidated and threatened by the BJP government. The farmers are being threatened to vacate the movement site. At the behest of BJP, false cases are being filed against the farmers. The BJP is carrying out attacks on farmers as part of a conspiracy. The entire country saw what happened first on the Ghazipur border and now on the Singhu border. This is a well-planned conspiracy of the BJP. Even before this, the BJP government has consistently adopted various tactics to discredit the peasant movement. The spirits of farmers cannot be shaken by such antics, added Kumari Selja.
She said that this cruel attack of the government is a fatal attack not only on the farmers but on every Indian. This mass movement will neither stop nor deteriorate, the entire country stands with the farmers.
