BJP-JJP government has been actively complicit in the game of suppressing the facts of the liquor sc

Chandigarh, (Gurpreet) - President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Kumari Selja said that the BJP-JJP government has been actively complicit in the game of suppressing the facts of the liquor scam that took place in the state during lockdown. It seems clear from the investigation report submitted by the Special Enquiry Team that an attempt was being made to save the big names involved in this scam.  She said that the investigation of this liquor scam should be got conducted under the supervision of the sitting judge of the High Court.

In a statement issued here today, Kumari Selja said all records of corruption are being broken in this government. The number of scams taking place in this government was increasing day-by-day.  The people hoped that they would get some relief amid the Corona epidemic, but, in the midst of the epidemic, Haryana was looted cruelly.

Kumari Selja said that as part of the conspiracy to cover the liquor scam under lockdown, the Special Enquiry Team was formed by rejecting the Special Investigation Team to investigate the scam by the government whereas the Special Investigation Team could have conducted in depth investigation of the scam. The Special Enquiry Team that was constituted did not have the powers to conduct in-depth investigation of this scam. When this team did not have full powers to investigate the scam, then what was this team investigating?  The Excise Department did not even provide the information sought by the Special Enquiry Team in this scam.Kumari Selja said that all layers of the liquor scam have been fully exposed by the INC  but efforts were being made by the BJP government to save the big names actually involved in this scam. The formation of this investigation team has broken  the faith of the people in the investigation carried out by the state. In the name of investigation of the scam, the government was actually misleading the people of the state.

Kumari Selja said that since the beginning, the government had no intention to find out  the truth in this scam . She said that the investigation of this liquor scam should be conducted under the supervision of the sitting judge of the High Court, so that the truth can be brought out  and all the culprits can be punished.
