Now families of freedom fighters will have to start a movement to get rid of the BJP rule

Congress honored families of freedom fighters at Agrawal Bhawan in Sector 9, Ambala

Ambala (Global News) President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said, we got freedom due to the sacrifices of the brave freedom fighters. Especially, the role of the freedom fighters of Ambala in getting freedom for the country from the slavery of the British is recorded in the pages of history. She said that it is mentioned in the history that the first freedom movement was started in Ambala.

Kumari Selja was addressing the families of freedom fighters at Agrawal Bhawan in Sector-9, Ambala city today. During this, she honored the family members of the freedom fighters for their contribution in the freedom movement. She said that along with the brave fighters, the Congress also played an important role in the freedom of the country. She said that Mahatma Gandhi was the biggest hero of the freedom struggle.

Kumari Selja said that for the freedom of the country, the brave revolutionary fighters were subjected to severe torture by the British government. Freedom fighters were not only tortured physically but also harassed mentally. Many revolutionaries even sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country while suffering the torture. There is a long list of such freedom fighters, who died in jails, while facing the inhuman torture of the British government. The freedom fighters of the country played an important role in starting revolution against the British rule through Coolie Begar, Jhanda Satyagraha, Jungle Satyagraha, Quit India Movement and Non-cooperation Movement. She said on this Amrit Mahotsav of freedom, we will always remember the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the freedom of India. The supreme sacrifice made by them for the country will never be forgotten. She said that revolutionaries including Mahatma Gandhi, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sukhdev, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and others sacrificed their lives for freedom of the country.

Kumari Selja also targeted the central government. She said that today again the country is in big trouble. The country is once again going to be a slave under the BJP rule. She told the families of the freedom fighters that earlier their elders had fought for the freedom of the country and now they will have to fight one battle so that this dictatorial government is overthrown. She said that instead of development, this government is taking the country towards destruction. She called upon the families of the freedom fighters to once again raise the flag of rebellion and get the country liberated from the BJP rule else this government will once again enslave the country. She said that the general public is suffering due to inflation. Many types of troubles are looming over the country. The government is giving mental and physical torture to the protestors by calling them anti-nationals. Every citizen is being spied on. Work is being done to divide the country in the name of Hindu-Muslim. Dalits are being subjected to constant atrocities. She also cornered the government regarding three agricultural laws. She said that the farmers have been sitting on the Delhi border for last nine months against these laws, but the government is ignoring their demands. Today, we all have to fight against these anti-people decisions of this government, she added.

Kumari Selja honoured family members of freedom fighters including Late Chhajju Ram, Vilayati Ram Jain, Jodh Singh, Jairam Das Gandhi, Banarasi Das, Asha Singh, Deshraj Singh, Fakirchand Walia, Gurdial Singh, Bansi Lal, Naunihal Singh Lamba, Poorna Chand, Chunni Lal Bajaj, Diwan Chand, Shakuntala Devi, Preeti Lal Agarwal, Girdhari Lal, Harnam Singh, Kehar Singh, Faggu Ram, Girdhari Lal, Balwant Rai, Gobind Singh, Mangal Singh, Amar Singh, Avtar Singh, Ramesh Chandra, Rameshchand Talwar, Multan Singh, Hardayal Singh Sahni, Bhopal Singh, Bhagat Ram Shukla, Prem Das, Chanan Singh, Harichand, Sampoorn Chand, Multan Singh, Ved Prakash, Deepti Mal Jain, Bishambhar Das, Purna Singh, Shaheed Gursewak Singh, Shaheed Nirmal Singh, Master Nandlal, Master Babu Lal Antal, Madan Mohan Royal, Girdhari Lal, Bakshi Barkat Singh, Kartar Chand and Mehr Singh Kodwa.

Treasurer, State Congress Committee, Advocate Rohit Jain conducted the stage and mentioned in detail the sacrifice of every brave freedom fighter.
