Chandigarh, (Aditi): To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit organized path/recital of Sri Sukhmani Sahib at Punjab Raj Bhavan. This was followed by kirtan and langar for the staff and their families.
The Governor addressed all present to follow the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and continue to seek inspiration to walk on path of righteousness in the service of humanity. He said that Guru Nanak was not only the first Guru of the Sikhs but also a 'Guru' to the entire world. The three principles enunciated by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Naam Japo, Kirat Karo and Vand Chako transcend time and will continue to guide humanity in times to come. His Parkash Utsav is celebrated nationally and internationally with equal fervour.
