Champions of Tomorrow, a Tata Tea Jaago Re Initiative presents the finals of season 2

Chandigarh, (Gurpreet) : In association with the Athletics Federation of India, Tata Tea JaagoRe recently organized "Champions of Tomorrow All India Finals - Season 2" at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium (Khelgaon), Ranchi. This is a sporting initiative that features young boys and girls in various categories: 100 mts run, 400 mts run, 800 mts run, long jump & shot put. ‘Champions of Tomorrow’ is a platform aimed to identify India’s best athletes and provide them an opportunity to showcase their talent and explore their full potential.

Featuring athletes from 6 cities namely Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune, Ranchi, Chandigarh & Hyderabad, Champions of Tomorrow season 2 witnessed top 10 talents picked out of 500 participants to play off against each other in the All India finals. Champions of Tomorrow helps provide the ideal stepping stone for children to reach their full potential and exhibit their skills to the nation.

The list of winners from "Champions of Tomorrow All India Finals - Season 2" for various categories are: Deepak Munda (Ranchi) and Jaya Hansda (Kolkata) in long jump, Siddhant Kiran Lalchandani (Pune) and Amruta Katke (Pune) in shot put, Mohd. Samad (Chandigarh) and Moumita Roy(Kolkata) in 800 meters while Arijit Rana (Kolkata) and Moumi Jana (Kolkata) won in 400 meters, Ravi Rai (Lucknow) and Shreya Shedge (Pune) in 100 meters.

Puneet Das, President, Packaged Beverages (India and South Asia), Tata Consumer Products, said, “Champions of Tomorrow has been a successful and thoughtful initiative wherein we aim to find India’s best athletes and provide them with a platform to discover themselves and excel. We coherently work towards bringing ‘Desh ka talents’ to the spotlight through this initiative, who are the pride of our nation. The idea behind this platform is to encourage more kids to take up sports and give it importance along with their education”.
