Chandigarh, (Aditi) - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while presiding over a review meeting with the Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners through video conferencing here today regarding Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas being organized across the State directed that the officers concerned should work on mission mode to make these Melas a huge success.

He said that in a bid to reach out to those at the bottom of the pyramid, these Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas are being organized to connect people with self-employment as well as to benefit them from the welfare policies of the government. Inspiring and empowering youth towards entrepreneurship is our utmost priority, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister while interacting with the Deputy Commissioners also sought suggestions, observations and feedback from them regarding the Melas organized at 24 different locations across the state on November 29-30, 2021 for selecting the eligible families for business and self-employment on a large scale.

"As per the feedback received from the Deputy Commissioners and other officers concerned, positive results have been yielded in these Melas. We have to work on mission mode to increase the annual income of each eligible family upto Rs.1.80 lakh", said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Focus on Pre-Mela House to House Counselling

In a bid to ensure a better turnout in these melas, the Chief Minister directed that special teams should be constituted for physically reaching out to every eligible family at their doorsteps for personal counselling a day prior to these Melas. Proper training of these counselling teams should be ensured, directed Sh. Manohar Lal.

"It should be clear that the message for these meals should be circulated first among the young members of the family, secondly to the members who are below 60 years and lastly to those who are above 60 so that it can be ensured that young members of every family should participate in these Melas" directed Sh. Manohar Lal.

Income verification should be done minutely

The Chief Minister directed that to ensure only eligible families get the benefits of all public welfare schemes and employment opportunities, income verification of every family should be done very minutely.

While giving directions regarding maintaining the data of single-family Ids and split family Ids, the Chief Minister said that in the case of spilt families, the income verification of such families should be considered as one and staggering of this data should be done properly. Data of manual and online proforma should be matched properly, he added.

DCs should explore employment possibilities in Private entities

The Chief Minister said that in some districts where the workforce is required in private entities, in such cases the Deputy Commissioners should explore the possibilities for sending the requirements to the private entities in their respective districts.

In last two days, Melas organised at 24 places

During the meeting, Mission Director, Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY), Sh. Mandeep Brar apprised the Chief Minister that in the last two days Meals were held at 24 different locations across the state, wherein identified beneficiaries based on the income verification were called and detailed information about various schemes related to self-employment, wages, skill development etc were shared with them.

"Special SOPs were formulated and as per these, arrangements were made by the District Administration. Special Help desks were set up at the Melas to redress the queries of the beneficiaries. Along with this, zonal committee and counselling desk were also set up for sharing the information about the government schemes with the beneficiaries", apprised Sh. Mandeep Brar.

Verified eligible families under MMAPUY invited for these Melas

It was informed that under the MMAPUY, verified data from Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) has been obtained and based on this, eligible families are being invited to these Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas.

Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D. S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relation and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal remained present on this occasion.
