Coaching Classes for Competitive Examinations start at KCA


Amritsar, (Global News) The off-line Coaching Classes for competitive examinations have begun at the All India Centre for Competitive Examination, Khalsa College Amritsar. Earlier the classes for various competitions including IAS, IPS, PCS, UGC/NET, Judicial, Defence Forces and Baking were held online due to the Covid-19 related lockdown.

``But as per the new directions from the government to open senior level classes, the offline classes will start from January 6, 2021 at the newly established skill-development centre on the college campus, said Chief coordinator of the Centre Professor Paramjit Singh Judge.

The Centre was established in September 2020, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the classes were not fully started offline. Now, when the Punjab Government has released recruitment for the posts of PCS, Executive and Tehsildar, regular classes have been arranged at the Centre for the preparation of these examinations, said he.

The centre is now fully set up in the new building for Skill Development Centre, which has been set up as a new initiative by the Khalsa College management for vocational training of the students. The computer lab and library for the convenience of the students have also been set up in the said building, said Coordinator Dr. Jagroop Singh Sekhon adding that the training classes have been arranged from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm as per the convenience of the students. KCA Principal Dr. Mehal Singh said the students from other campus institutions within the Khalsa College who have already enrolled for the coaching will now be able to take their coaching classes completely offline.
