Combined Annual Training Camp of 24 Punjab Battalion NCC at KCET
Amritsar, (Global News) A Combined Annual Training Camp by 24-Punjab Battalion, NCC, today concluded at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET), here. The cadets from various colleges and schools of city and outside enthusiastically took part in the camp. During the camp, training on weapon handling, map-reading and drill along with personality development was given.
The aim of the camp was to instill a sense of unity, patriotism, team work and discipline among the cadets, said KCET Director, Dr. Manju Sharma. During the camp cadets actively participated in different activities like Bharat Swachhta Abhiyan, various health awareness campaigns under state and central government schemes, tree plantation drives, Anti-Drug Campaign, Water Conservation programmes with the motive to inculcate the harmony amongst the cadets.
Brig Rohit Kumar, Group Commander, visited the camp today to oversee the training being imparted to the cadets and interacted with various appointments and he appreciated College’s role in organizing the event. Dr. Bala hailed the efforts of CO for the camp and said that these kinds of camps brings the sense of responsibility among students.
A motivational lecture was also delivered by CO, 24 Punjab Bn NCC to the first year students of the institute and he asked them to subscribe to the NCC and join the organization. ANO’s Manish Gupta, Anil Partap and CTO Diljot Singh were also present along with the other Staff.
