CTU Workers Union called off their strike

Chandigarh (Aditi). CTU Workers Union were on hunger strike since 06.12.2021 against the hiring of Electrical vehicles under kilometer scheme. Thereafter, other Unions i.e. Sayunkt Karamchari Morcha, Coodrination Committee, also extended their support to CTU Workers Union, U.T., Chandigarh in connection with their demands.

Today, the CTU Workers Union called off their strike in the presence of Director Transport, Pradhuman Singh, HCS. The union while calling off their strike expressed full confidence that all discussion done by the administration shall be in the favour of the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking.

The tendering process of the 20 HVAC buses has been put on hold by the Administration for now.
