Chandigarh (Gurpreet) The Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2019 released today by DPIIT, Government of India demonstrates how Indian States & UTs have fared in enhancing Ease of Doing Business for an Aatm Nirbhar Bharat.

We are happy that our continuous engagement with States on improving business & investment climate have started showing positive results. These results are reflection of State Government’s endeavour to make India a USD 5 trillion economy by 2024-25.

From Northern Region, Uttar Pradesh has improved its rankings significantly and is now Ranked 2nd Nationally. Similarly, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan also feature in top 10 Indian States in BRAP Ranking. The State of Uttarakhand has improved its ranking most significantly, jumping to 11th position in BRAP 2019 from 23rd position during 2015. Amongst Union Territories, Delhi is ranked number one. This is a great moment for Northern Indian States and I congratulate the State Governments for their work towards achieving this Ranking, I believe that best is yet to come.
