Evacuation Mission ' Operation Ganga' for evacuating Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine
Chandigarh (Aditi) Indian Government has launched evacuation Mission ' Operation Ganga' for evacuating Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine. The government of India is fully engaged and committed to bring back Indian nationals from Ukraine via flights.

Chandigarh Administration has already using the Helpline number 112 to collect information of students and other persons of Chandigarh stranded in Ukraine, so that the information of such persons can be forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs, GOI. A helpdesk has also been created at New Delhi airport by Chandigarh Administration.
The details as received at this helpline no.112 are being sent to Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India who further take up with the Embassy in Ukraine and adjoining countries.
Ministry of External Affairs, GOI has also forwarded a list of 103 residents of Chandigarh stranded in Ukraine to the Chandigarh Administration. Their parents/contacts in Chandigarh are being contacted telephonically and e-mail has also been sent to all of them. Some of the students/persons of Chandigarh have also returned from Ukraine.
Further the Chandigarh Administration will also make local transportation arrangements for the persons of Chandigarh on their arrival in India from Ukraine.
