Give more importance to Indian languages – Satya Pal Jain


Chandigarh, (Aditi). Sh. Satya Pal Jain, Ex BJP MP and Additional Solicitor General of India has said that time has come when Indian languages should be given more importance and primary education be given in one’s own mother tongue.

Sh. Jain was addressing a webinar, organized by Kasturba Hall and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hall of Panjab University, to celebrate Indian Constitution Day, last evening.

Sh. Jain said that Indian Constitution has defined the scope and powers of each institution clearly and specifically and all the three wings of Indian Democracy i.e., Legislature, Executive and Judiciary are supreme in their own fields with the overall supremacy of the Indian Constitution. He said that Indian Constitution talks of not only Fundamental Rights but of Fundamental Duties also, because wherever there is a right there is a corresponding duty also.

Dr. Tammanna R Sahrawat and Dr. Bharat organizers of the function said that Indian Constitution is the best gift given to India by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and is the best Constitution in the whole world.

Dr. Sudipa Kaur, CJM Kharar, Dr. Salini Sharma Advocate and Prof. Devinder Singh Chairman, Department of Law also participated in the discussion that followed in the webinar and expressed their views about the Indian Constitution.
