In compliance to the orders of Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court pertaining to CWP No.27436 of 2015 – Mohali Inudstrial Association versus Union of India, A meeting of the Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Sh. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Nitin Yadav, IAS, Home Secretary Chandigarh, today to deliberate and discuss about the two proposals to finalize the New Alternative Route for the Chandigarh International Airport.
The meeting was attended by all the Stake Holders consisting from Air Force, Defence, Representatives of Punjab State, Haryana State, Chandigarh International Airport and Railway authorities including Air Commodore M Lal, AOC 12 Wing Indian Air Force, Manvesh Singh Sidhu IAS Secretary Revenue, Punjab, R S Verma, IAS, Special Secretary Revenue
Haryana, Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh , Vishwas Sohal, Defence Estates Officer Chandigarh, Arul Ranjan IFS
Deputy Conservator of Forests,Chandigarh.
The committee has gone through the two proposals and after detailed deliberations, it was decided that each Stake Holder will submit their comments regarding these two proposals to the Chandigarh Administration within 7 days positively so that Hon’ble High Court may be apprised about the same on the next date of hearing fixed for 11.7.2022.
