online discussion on New Education Policy – 2020
Mohali (Gurpreet) Internal Quality Assurance Cell – IQAC and Human Resource Development Centre - HRDC of Desh Bhagat University organized an online Panel Discussion on New Education Policy - 2020. The discussion was intended to critically examine the pros and cons of the proposed Education Policy and the future effects on education structure in India. The session was attended by more than 300 academicians including many notable dignitaries from universities across the nation.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor DBU, shared major thresholds in evolution of Indian education structure. He said that more than three decades have passed since previous education policy and significant changes have taken place in our society, economy, country and the world at large and the education sector has to gear up and needs to become compatible with these changes.
Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University shared her views on the prospective challenges to be faced by educational institutions and augmented learning solutions to counter those challenges.
Dr. Sandeep Singh , Desh Bhagat University, said, "The New Education Policy will result in more flexibility for student entry and exit, will serve all stratas of society for inclusive growth. Quality, Research and Innovation will help India to become a knowledge super power."
