PANDOVE CONDOLES DEATH OF CRICKETING COLLEAGUE RAJINDER GOEL
Chandigarh (Gurpreet) Mr. M.P. Pandove former Honorary Treasurer, BCCI condoled the death of his cricketing colleague left arm spinner Mr. Rajinder Goel with whom Mr. Pandove played from his college and university days. Later on both played together for Southern Punjab and thereafter while Rajinder Goel represented Delhi & later Haryana in Ranji Trophy, Pandove played against him for Punjab. Pandove recalled that Rajinder Goel was the most accurate and economical left arm spinner in domestic circuit who went on to become the highest wicket taker in Ranji Trophy a record which is intact till today. Mr. Pandove rated Mr. Goel as the best gentleman cricketer he had come across. He said that he was deeply saddened by the demise of his long-time cricketing colleague. He felt that his demise was the end of the Golden Era of spin bowling in domestic cricket.
