Chandigarh, (Aditi) : A new Govt. primary school was inaugurated in Dhanas by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator of Chandigarh Sh. Banwarilal Purohit. The inauguration was virtually joined by Ms. Kirron Kher, MP Chandigarh.
Govt. Primary School Dhanas is having total area of 1.33 acres, having multistory building consisting of 19 classrooms, separate toilets for boys and girls, Head Room, Staff Room, Computer Room etc. The school boosts of modern infrastructure with latest amenities to cater to qualitative educational needs of primary students. This school will provide education to around 800 students mainly belonging to the needy migrant population of periphery area and 20 teachers will be transferred to these schools on urgent basis.
N.G.O. – ‘ARPAN’ has contributed a ‘MASTI KI PATH SHALA‘ under AAO SCHOOL CHALLEN‘ ‘theme which has used waste material in an artistic way to promote – recycling of product and make teaching-learning process fun in ‘KHEL KHEL MEIN’ . Students of Govt. Model Sr. Secondary School – Dhanas presented a cultural function on the inaugural function.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator, UT Chandigarh informed that this school will provide quality education to the students of Dhanas Area. Education Department will ensure that the students must get admission in higher classes after passing class 5th from this school. He also emphasized on skill education and advised that the students should take interest in skill education so that they can earn their livelihood.
