Prime Minister Narendra Modi Applauds Success of VBSY Beneficiary

Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a heartwarming interaction today with Ms. Mona, a transgender entrepreneur and beneficiary of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), via video conferencing.

The VBSY initiative, conducted nationwide, aims to achieve the saturation of government flagship schemes, ensuring timely benefits for all targeted beneficiaries. Ms. Mona, originally from Ranchi, Jharkhand, shared her inspiring journey of owning a tea shop in Chandigarh, operational from 6 in the evening to 10 at night. She informed the Prime Minister that through the PM Svanidhi Scheme, she secured a loan of Rs 10,000, which played a crucial role in establishing her tea stall. During the interaction, Prime Minister Modi, expressing keen interest, inquired about Ms. Mona's experience with the loan process. Ms. Mona highlighted that the city corporation informed her about the loan availability, and subsequent to her initial loan, she received additional disbursements of Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. Notably, she emphasized that these subsequent loans carried zero interest, marking significant progress.

Acknowledging Ms. Mona's entrepreneurial spirit, the Prime Minister commended her success and expressed satisfaction that she has advanced to the third stage of growth. He emphasized the importance of inspiring more individuals from the transgender community to avail themselves of such government benefits, aligning with the government's ethos of "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas" (Collective Efforts, Inclusive Growth).

He congratulated Ms. Mona on her achievements and successful growth, citing her story as a testament to the positive impact of government initiatives on diverse segments of society. The interaction with Ms. Mona exemplifies the tangible outcomes of the government's commitment to inclusive development, fostering entrepreneurship, and empowering individuals from all walks of life.
