CHANDIGARH, (Aditi) The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit extended warm greetings to the people of Punjab and Chandigarh on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. In his message, Shri Purohit said that the spirit of the auspicious festival which marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, epitomizes self-restraint, discipline and compassion, is ideal for all of us to imbibe and follow.
“Let us on this day rededicate ourselves to create a world that is free of falsehood and animosity, imbibing the spirit of brotherhood that is intrinsic to the occasion”, said the Governor. He urged the people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with a spirit of communal harmony, peace, love, cooperation and mutual understanding which would go a long way in strengthening the national unity and integrity.

श्री पुरोहित ने अपने संदेश में कहा कि रमज़ान के पवित्र महीने की समाप्ति के प्रतीक इस शुभ त्योहार की भावना आत्म-संयम, अनुशासन और करुणा की प्रतीक है और हम सभी के लिए आत्मसात और अनुसरण करने हेतु एक उपयुक्त आदर्श है।
राज्यपाल ने कहा, ‘‘आइए, हम इस दिन भाईचारे की भावना का पालन करते हुए एक ऐसी दुनिया के निर्माण हेतु खुद को फिर से समर्पित करें जो झूठ और द्वेष से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो”।
