PUNJAB VS GOA – PUNJAB WON BY 45 RUNS
PUNJAB VS GOA Quarterfinal match was played yesterday at Alur Cricket Stadium III, Bangalore. Goa won the toss and decided to field. Punjab batting first scored 235 runs for loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. Nehal Wadhera scored 46 runs off 55 balls with six boundaries and a six , Vishwa Pratap Singh scored 36 runs off 73 balls with four boundaries were the main run getters for Punjab. Mohit Redkar 4 /43, S A Mishra 2 / 34 and Nihal S 2 / 50 were the most successful wicket takers for Goa.
Replying Goa team was bowled out for a total of 190 runs in 48 overs. Dheeraj Y scored 41 runs off 46 balls with six boundaries and Avishkar scored 31 runs off 19 balls with five boundaries and a six were the main run getters for Goa. Prince Balwant Rai 4 / 42, Abhinav Sharma 3 /14 and Paras Jaidka 2 / 42 were the most successful wicket takers for Punjab.
With this win Punjab U-25 team has now qualified for the Semi Finals which will be played on 8th Dec 2021 at Bangalore
