Swaraj Division collaborates with PSDM for skilling over 400 youth for agri & non-agri trades


Mohali, (Aditi) : Swaraj Divison, part of the Mahindra Group, announced their partnership with Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM), Government of Punjab to train and upskill over 400 local youth of Punjab under their flagship project ‘Hunar’ up till February 2023.

With this project Swaraj Tractors aims to increase skilling option leading to employment opportunities for the youth of Punjab state to inculcate essential skills required to become a Tractor Mechanic, Tractor Operator, CRM Non-Voice and Domestic Data Entry Operator.

During this time, Swaraj Tractors through MNSSIF, a Non-Profit Organization (NGO) will deploy experienced trainers to ensure that trainees receive quality training. PSDM will help in joint certification and mobilization of the candidates across the state.

Swaraj Division has always strived hard to improve the lives of farmers and local communities through various initiatives such as water conservation, healthcare, sanitation, education, and skill development. The home-grown tractor company has also organized a number of projects, such as ‘Prerna for Women’, which aims to improve the options for rural women's livelihoods, and the ‘Gyandeep Project’, which helps the government raise the standard of education for kids. The company also helps conserve water through 'Project Pani,' which can support irrigation and drinking water needs in the community, as well as the ‘Swachh Bharat’ initiative, which strives to improve the hygiene standards of local communities through sanitation and cleanliness drives. Swaraj Division also addresses the care of terminally ill cancer patients through the 'Primary Health & Cancer Care Project.'
