Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab organised an event named 'AAP's Mission 13-0' in Zirakpur on Thursday to introduce their 13 Lok Sabha candidates to the media and the people of Punjab. The party said that they will win in Punjab by 13-0 and these candidates will be the voice of the Punjabis in the parliament.
Addressing a gathering here AAP cabinet minister Anmol Gagan Maan introduced 11 AAP Lok Sabha candidates on the stage, while Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and Lalji Singh Bhullar were absent due to a case hearing in Tarn Taran today.
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal
Cabinet minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal is the Aam Aadmi Party candidate for Amritsar Lok Sabha seat. He is MLA from Ajnala (Amritsar) and has handled many important portfolios in the Mann government. He's very popular leader and while addressing the gathering he thanked the AAP leadership for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of holy city of Amritsar. He said that the party has awarded his loyalty and hard work by making him candidate from Amritsar, now the people of Amritsar will honour and award him by electing him as their representatives in the parliament. He said that this party made him an MLA and a minister and he served the people. He said that pro-people and pro-Punjab voices of the AAP leaders will reach the parliament then no one will be able to create obstacles for Punjab or even think about hurting our rights.
Gurmeet Singh Khuddian
Gurmeet Singh Khuddian is AAP's Bathinda LS candidate. Bathinda is a hot seat in Punjab and was considered Badal's strong field but Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, during Punjab Assembly elections of 2022 defeated five time chief minister Prakash Singh Badal from Lambi. He is a kind and honest leader and was given the agriculture portfolio in the Mann government. Sharing his views on the occasion, Khuddian thanked Arvind Kejriwal and Mann for this responsibility and said that he is grateful for the constant support of the party volunteers and the people of Bathinda. He said that the centre discriminates against Punjab, so Punjab needs strong voices in the parliament who will defend its rights. He said that the Mann-led AAP government has done exceptional work in two years, 90% of households get zero electricity bills, education and health care is free, our youth is getting government jobs without giving any bribe or recommendation. Buying a thermal power plant is another big milestone of the Mann government and in this election, the people of Punjab will reward good work of the AAP government.
Malvinder Singh Kang
AAP's Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang is the party's candidate for Anandpur Sahib Lok sabha seat. Kang started his political career from student politics and was elected twice as the president of Punjab University Student Council. During the farmers agitation, Kang supported farmers and gave many services on the borders of Delhi during the movement. He is an influential leader with good knowledge and communication skills which makes him well liked among the people. Kang thanked national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, CM Bhagwant Mann and all the leadership of the party for their confidence in him and said that the time when there the dictatorship is reaching new heights everyday, Punjab will lead by example. 'Punjab Banega Hero, es baar 13-0.' He said that today our democracy and our constitution is in danger and we are going to fight this battle together and win.
Dr Balbir Singh
Health Minister Punjab Dr Balbir Singh is AAP's candidate for Patiala Lok Sabha seat. Before coming to politics Dr Balbir retired as an associate professor and also works as an eye surgeon. He is an educated and respected leader of Patiala and he also helped the farmers during the farmers' protest. He joined the AAP in 2012 after the anti-corruption movement in Delhi. Dr Balbir said that the dictatorial Modi government has made a grave mistake by arresting Arvind Kejriwal. The people will requite this dictatorship of the BJP by throwing them out of the power. He said that the people of Patiala are with the AAP and Bhagwant Mann, they are so excited that they are confident that the party will register its biggest win in Patiala.
Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar
Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar is the AAP candidate for the Ferozepur Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2022 Punjab assembly elections, Kaka Brar contested from Mukatsar Sahib assembly constituency and was elected MLA securing 51% of the vote share. On this occasion Kaka Brar thanked national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann for honouring him and said that he will work hard and contribute his best to make Punjab Rangla again.
Karamjit Anmol
Karamjit Anmol, famous Punjabi artist, is AAP's candidate from Faridkot lok sabha constituency. He is a gold medalist from Punjabi University Patiala for his contribution in the field of Art. He has numerous awards and is well regarded among the people of Punjab for his movies and songs where he often raises the issues of Punjab and its people. He is a social worker and an environmentalist. On this occasion Karamjit Anmol thanked Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann for his candidacy and said that he is honoured that he is given an opportunity to serve the people of Historic and religious land of Baba Farid. He said that soon in the parliament 13 Bhagwant Manns will be raising their voice for Punjab.
Raj Kumar Chabbewal
Raj Kumar Chabbewal is the AAP candidate for Hoshiarpur LS seat. He is an influential leader in Doaba and, thanks to his pro-people works, has an impressive mass base in Hoshiarpur. He said that he, along with every Punjabi, is immensely impressed by the works of the Mann government and he is thankful that the party, national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann for trusting him as candidate for Hoshiarpur.
Pawan Kumar Tinu
Pawan Kumar Tinu, left Akali Dal, to join the pro-people AAP and is declared party's candidate from Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. He thanked Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann and said that he is honoured to be part of this revolutionary party. AAP fulfilled its election promises and is loved by the people of Punjab. Punjabis are impressed by the Mann government and they will write history in the LS polls.
Ashok Parashar Pappi
Ashok Parashar Pappi is an MLA from Ludhiana central and is announced as AAP's candidate for Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat. He thanked the party's leadership for his candidature and said that the party will again register a historic and huge win in Ludhiana. He said that he will give his best contribution to 'Rangla Punjab'.
Gurpreet Singh GP
From Fatehgarh Sahib constituency, the Aam Aadmi Party decided to field Gurpreet Singh GP as their candidate. Gurpreet GP is a well regarded leader in Fatehgarh Sahib and he has always prioritised helping people. Impressed by the AAP government of Punjab, he has left Congress and joined the AAP. He thanked the AAP leadership for trusting him and said he's honoured to be part of the AAP. He said that wherever he goes to meet people or attend events, he only has only heard praises for the AAP government and Bhagwant Mann from the people. The people of Fatehgarh Sahib will vote for the Aam Aadmi Party, because our government has done unprecedented works in just two years.
Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi
Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, MLA Batala, is AAP's candidate for Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat. He is young leader and was given the responsibility as vice-president in the party too. In election surveys he is the most popular and liked politician in Gurdaspur. He thanked Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann for their confidence in him and said that the centre has always treated Punjab unfairly and step-motherly. But this time people will elect pro-Punjab AAP candidates as their members of parliament.
