CNG price slashed by Rs. 2.50/Kg in Punjab


Chandigarh: Torrent Gas, which has been authorised by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to provide Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Punjab has announced a reduction Rs. 2.50 / Kg in the retail price of CNG in its areas of operation across the country, including Patiala, Sangrur, SAS Nagar and Malerkotla. This makes CNG cheaper by up to 39% vis a vis Petrol. This reduction in prices of CNG has been done with an objective of promoting the usage of clean fuel and enhancing the ecosystem of natural gas.

 

Speaking about the reduction in gas prices, Manoj Jain, Managing Director, Torrent Gas said, “Torrent Gas has always been at the forefront in promoting the use of environment friendly CNG. This reduction in CNG prices is expected to increase the offtake of new CNG vehicles and increase the consumption of natural gas in the transport segment.  ”
