ENACTUS TEAM OF P.U. IN COLLABORATION WITH ROTARACT CLUB CHANDIGARH MIDTOWN INSTALLS CLAY WATER BOWLS FOR STRAY ANIMALS

Enactus SSBUICET team of Panjab University and Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown joined forces to commemorate World Stray Animal Day by going out into the streets of Chandigarh and putting up clay water bowls along the walkways to help stray animals, conveyed Prof.Seema, Faculty Advisor of Enactus team and State Vice president of Corporate Sustainability Council, Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CSC WICCI), Chandigarh.

The clay bowls were bought from the Maloya potters' community, who are part of the Enactus team's Project "Dhra." The goal of the Dhra initiative is to reduce India's reliance on plastic while preserving the craft of clay and ceramics. According to ShubhamDhiman, President of the Enactus team, the team has partnered with many food joints in tricity to increase the sale of clay products.

The event was a great success as it helped the stray animalsby providing water bowls made of clay. These animals are in desperate need of respite from the heat and the clay bowls are healthier for them than the plastic ones because they don't contain dangerous microplastics. Project DHRA gains new meaning and value from using earthenware to realise the rewarding goal of feeding stray animals, averred ParvBassi, Event Head, Enactusteam.

Shubham explained that the team works hard to be multifaceted, inclusive and to break through enormous boundaries in order to magnify its goal. He expressed his gratitude to Aman Garg, the president of Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown for this thoughtful event.
