The Directorate of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy), Chandigarh Administration has taken up an initiative of Evening AYUSH Mobile Dispensary to expand the reachability of AYUSH services in public interest as per the directions of Sh. Ajay Chagti IAS, Secretary Health, Chandigarh Administration.
It is pertinent to mention that the Mobile AYUSH Dispensary Services are already being provided during morning shift since the last 5 years in peripheral areas of Chandigarh, where AYUSH Dispensaries are not available. The introduction of evening AYUSH mobile dispensaries will provide services to those patients also, who can access the AYUSH services only during the evening time. The timing for Mobile AYUSH Dispensary for morning shift will be from 7.45 AM to 1.45 PM and for evening shift will be from 2.15 PM to 8.15 PM.
The (Morning and Evening) Mobile AYUSH Dispensary will provide free primary healthcare consultations by AYUSH Doctors, health screenings and check-ups, free AYUSH medicines to patients, health education and awareness campaigns regarding strengths of AYUSH systems.
The objective of this Mobile Dispensary is to reach doorsteps of residents of Chandigarh to provide AYUSH services. This service has generated very good response among general public. Directorate of AYUSH is committed to reaching under-served populations and ensuring that they receive the care they require.
