CHANDIGARH: In a further boost to the election campaign of INDIA candidate Manish Tewari, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhku, accompanied by the AICC general secretary Rajiv Shukla today addressed a convention of the youth Congress here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Sukhu appealed to residents of the city to vote for Tewari, saying he has already proved to be a great parliamentarian and a successful union minister also.
Sukhu recalled his association with Tewari during their NSUI and youth Congress days. He said he had always found him to be sincere, committed and hardworking.
Speaking on the occasion, AICC general secretary Rajiv Shukla said that Chandigarh will get a representative who has a national stature and is recognized across the country. He said Tewari was the best candidate to represent the people of Chandigarh in the parliament.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of the Chandigarh Youth Congress Manoj Lubhana said, Tewari has imbibed fresh energy among the party’s rank and file and they were feeling enthused and energized with his combative dynamism.
Chandigarh Congress president HS Lucky assured that Tewari will win the election with a record margin. He expressed confidence that with the kind of response he was getting from people, it will be a record victory for the Congress party this time.
Manish Tewari thanked the HP Chief Minister Sukhu and Rajiv Shukla. He assured that he will ensure to come up to all the expectations that people of Chandigarh have from him.
The former union minister expressed confidence that the winds of change were already blowing across the country and the INDIA government was certain to be formed after June 4. He said, there is a clear, categorical and unambiguous mood for change, prevailing across the country and it was getting reflected in the voting pattern.
