Chandigarh, (Aditi) :- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today took possession of 12.48 acre of land in Manimajra having market value of nearly 350 crores.
Following the orders of Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, a team of MCC officers resumed this prime land in pocket No.9, Manimajra adjoining Indra colony green belt opposite police station Manimajra which is in three parts i.e. 6.90 acre, 4.54 acre and 1.04 acre of land.
The Commissioner directed all the concerned executive engineers of B&R division and concerned officers of revenue records to resume possession of lands in all the villages transferred to MCC and get them fenced to avoid any kind of encroachments. After resumption of the land, the MCC authorities installed board in this land.
