Services of 18 Professors of Khalsa College Regularized


Amritsar, (Global News) : In today times of Corona virus-ridden crises-like-situation in job market, the 18 Assistant Professors of historic Khalsa College were lucky enough to have their services regularized. They thanked the management and promised to work hard with utmost dedication for the dissemination of quality education to the students.

The professors who were appointed in 2015 on 3 years Contract following an intense fight for regular recruitments in the Colleges as per the DPI, Punjab guidelines, had their services regularized from 2018 onwards. ``We are happy on confirmation of services and thanked the Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) and state government for the approvals”, said  they in unison voice as they presented shawl and replica of Golden Temple’s Model to KCGC including honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina.

Accompanied by Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Dr.Kuldeep Singh, Dr. Hira Singh (both from Punjabi department), Prof. Randeep Singh, Dr. Amarjit Kaur (both from Agriculture department), Dr. Poonam Sharma (Commerce), Dr. Kultar Singh, Dr. Hardeep Kaur (Chemistry), Dr.Joga Singh, Dr. Mohan Singh, Dr. Gurinderpal Singh (Physics), Dr.Mamta Mahindra, Prof. Daljit Singh, (English), Dr.Seoji Bhatia, Dr. Supreet Kaur, (Economics), Prof. Prabhjot Kaur (Computer), Prof. Navyodh Singh (Mathematics), Gurvel Singh Malhi (Political Science) and Dr. Amandeep Singh from zoology.

RMS Chhina and Principal Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated them on confirmation of services and said their new salaries and arrears have also been released. They hope that the move will enhance the quality education in the College and the staff will work to the best of their ability for the betterment of students. ``It is difficult times when the jobs are losing due to Covid-19 and we are happy to announce their confirmation of services which will see huge rise in their salaries and allowances”, said Chhina adding that they thank state government and DPI also for the release of the partial release of their grants.
