Chauhan terms Budget as 'Kisano Ka Hiteshi'



Principal Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan appreciated Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's second budget terming it as visionary, innovative and farmer friendly. He said that even during the adverse financial condition of the State, the budget has taken care of every section of the society right from the last man in the queue.

Terming it as 'Kisano Ka Hiteshi' Budget, Chauhan said that it is the budget of Grameen Himachal, where both the farmers and the horticulturalists of the State have been given ample benefits.   

The visionary decision taken to promote self employment in natural farming under the  “Rajiv Gandhi Prakritik Kheti Start-up Yojna”, the 3rd component of Rs.680 crore ‘Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Yojna’ will certainly increase the income of the farmers wherein farmers will be encouraged to adopt Chemical Free Farming in a big way.

He said that a decision to establish centre of excellence in horticulture at a cost of Rs.12 crore which will act as ‘One Stop Resource Centre’ for all the needs of the horticulturalists related to quality, skill, tourism and marketing of their produce. 

He also appreciated the announcement of Digital Media Policy, 2024’ to support the regional web portals and channels which will assist in disseminating and publicize the government schemes and development policies through their various digital platforms, web channels and news websites.
