Educational Tour to Punjabi University, Patiala organized
Chandigarh (Aditi) A one-day free Educational tour was organised by the History Department of GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna (Banur) college to Punjabi University, Patiala on December 11, 2021. Group of 134 students went on educational tour. Principal,
Prof. (Dr.) Rama Arora gave her good wishes and motivated the students to actively participated in the excursion.
Firstly, students visited the famous Guru Gobind Singh Ji Bhawan (The Bhawan is the building which is very famous architecture of Punjabi university and it accommodate a religious studies department) and the students also visited to Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan.
Secondly, students visited to the book fair in the university, where the variety of books of various publications, including Punjabi University Publication Bureau and Cambridge University Press were available for sale at the university’s book fair. A positive response was received from students. Dr. Jaswinder Kaur brief the detail history about the Bhawan and explained about the value of books.
Six group leaders were appointed for maintaining discipline and coordination. The student’s
coordinators were Ishan (BBA 1st Year), Aman (BBA 1st Year), Chesta (BA 2nd Year), Harleen (BA 2nd Year), Simran (BA 3rd Year) Madhu Sharma (BA 3rd Year). Group of 134 students went on educational tour. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Rama Arora gave her good wishes and motivated the students to actively participated in the excursion. The students left at 11:00 AM in the college bus and returned to the college at 4:00 PM from where they proceed to their home in their usual manner. The tour was coordinated by Dr. Jaswinder Kaur and her team members Dr. Jyoti Singla, Dr. Vandana Saini, Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur and Ms. Prerna Sharma.
