Chandigarh: A meeting under the chairmanship of Sh. Nitish Singla, PCS, SDM(E)-cum-Assistant Returning Officer-03,was convened toda at the Seminar Hall, CCET, Sector-26, Chandigarh, witnessed comprehensive discussions on election preparedness for the forthcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha-2024. The meeting, attended by Sector Officers, BLO supervisors, and BLOs under the jurisdiction of ARO-03, served as a platform to ensure meticulous planning and execution of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at polling station locations. All present members were briefed on the imperative of timely arrangements to guarantee a smooth electoral process. In line with the commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, special emphasis was placed on facilities for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Voters and 85+ Senior Citizens. Additionally, the provision of optional postal ballot facility for "Absentee voters" was highlighted, aiming to facilitate seamless participation in the democratic process during the General Elections to Lok Sabha-2024. Furthermore, the dissemination of Form 12-D and acknowledgment slips among BLO supervisors for subsequent distribution among their respective BLOs underscored the meticulous attention to administrative details essential for the successful conduct of elections.
