Chandigarh, (Gurpreet) The poll process for Assembly Elections in Punjab started today with the issuance of the notification regarding nominations.
Chief Electoral Officer Punjab Dr S Karuna Raju disclosed that as per the data available on the encore software only 12 nominations were filed in the State till 6pm on the first day.
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਅੱਜ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਡਾ: ਐਸ. ਕਰੁਣਾ ਰਾਜੂ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨਕੋਰ ਸਾਫਟਵੇਅਰ ’ਤੇ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਾਮ 6 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 12 ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਦਾਖਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
